Cambrian Springs Gives Support to Chai Lifeline

Team Cambrian Springs

When a child has a serious illness; the impact of the situation can be challenging to the whole family. Your daily routine is no longer fixed and days are filled with going to doctors appointments. One parent may have to stay with the sick child while they are in hospital and missed days of work can bring financial devastation. Siblings of a sick child can also be emotionally affected.

Chai Lifeline is a charity that aims to help families in these circumstances, offering whatever they need. They can provide tutoring for children who miss school for extended periods, family retreats, special sibling programs and professional support. Additionally, there are two extraordinary summer camp programs for seriously ill children. The camps, Camp Simcha and Camp Simcha Special will help the families retain a sense of normalcy and hope during these difficult times in their lives.

Cambrian Springs was proud to support Chai Lifeline by participating in their Team Lifeline initiative over the past couple of months. Team Lifeline is an endurance training program that helps prep the team to run in races like the New York City Marathon. Online coaching was offered through Toby Tanser and Mark Izhak, both internationally recognized athletes and coaches. The Cambrian Springs team was led by brothers Meir and Moshe Cohen, who are dedicated to making Cambrian Spring a charitable leader in their community by promoting health and illness prevention through active living.

The top finisher for the team was Simcha Cohen, who finished the Las Vegas marathon in a time of 2.05. Bottled water for the team was proudly supplied by Cambrian Springs. The company normally provides spring water delivery in Mississauga and Toronto, but they took their supplies on the road and kept the team hydrated and performing at high levels! Congratulations to the entire team for their efforts and a big thank you to Chai Lifeline for their ongoing work.
